Welcome to ReMission, a cutting-edge app designed to support individuals living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) through AI-powered insights, tracking tools, and community engagement. This policy outlines subscription terms, billing, refunds, cancellations, and payment security to ensure transparency in all financial transactions.
By subscribing to any of our paid plans, you agree to the terms below.
1. Subscription Plans & Features
ReMission offers three subscription tiers with varying levels of access and functionality.
Key Notes:
- CHIP AI is included in Balance and Porcelain Plans.
- CHIIP AI (advanced model) is exclusive to Porcelain Plan users.
- Relief Plan includes only basic functionality with ads.
2. Free Trial Policy
- New users get a 3-day free trial of the Balance Plan.
- After the trial, users are automatically downgraded to the Relief Plan unless a subscription is activated.
- Porcelain Plan does not include a free trial but can be upgraded to at any time.
3. Billing & Automatic Renewal
3.1 Billing Cycles & Pricing
- Balance Plan: $2.99/month or $29.99/year (~16% savings)
- Porcelain Plan: $5.99/month or $59.99/year (~16% savings)
- Yearly subscriptions require upfront payment.
3.2 Automatic Renewal
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal date.
- Users are responsible for canceling to avoid unintended charges.
3.3 Failed Payments & Plan Downgrade
- ReMission retries failed payments for 7 days.
- After 7 days of failed attempts:
- Subscription is canceled.
- User is downgraded to the Relief Plan.
- Data loss warning: Logs and analytics will be deleted permanently.
- Premium features (CHIP, CHIIP, tracking tools) will be revoked.
4. Cancellation, Refunds & Subscription Changes
4.1 How to Cancel a Subscription
- Cancel anytime via the app’s account settings.
- Cancellation stops future billing.
- Access remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.
4.2 Refund Policy
Refunds are not issued for:
- Voluntary cancellations
- Unused subscription time
Refunds may be granted for:
- Billing errors (e.g., duplicate charges)
- Fraudulent charges (with verification)
- Major service disruptions (at ReMission’s discretion)

4.3 Downgrading to Relief Plan
- Downgrade takes effect at the next billing cycle.
- AI logs and analytics will be deleted.
- Users who re-subscribe will need to start fresh.
4.4 Upgrading & Changing Plans
- Upgrade/switch anytime via subscription settings.
- Upgrades take effect immediately, and any remaining balance is adjusted.
5. Payment Methods & Security
5.1 Accepted Payment Methods
- Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, Discover)
- PayPal
- Apple Pay & Google Pay (on supported devices)
5.2 Secure Payment Processing
- All transactions are encrypted and processed by secure third-party providers.
- ReMission does not store credit card information directly.
- We maintain full PCI compliance.
5.3 Additional Fees & Taxes
- No hidden fees.
- Applicable sales taxes are calculated based on local laws.
6. Special Offers & Discounts
6.1 Yearly Subscription Discounts
- Save ~16% with annual billing.
6.2 Locked Subscription Rates (“Grandfathering”)
- Users who subscribe at a certain rate keep that rate permanently, as long as they don’t cancel.
- If canceled, re-subscription will be charged at the current rate.
7. Account & Subscription Compliance
7.1 Subscription Transfers
- Subscriptions are non-transferable and may not be shared.
7.2 Violations & Revocation
- Violations of Terms of Service (e.g., abuse, fraud) may result in immediate termination without refund.
7.3 Legal Compliance
- ReMission complies with GDPR and CCPA data protection laws.
